Greetings in Jesus!

So January is over and here we are in February already. I can hardly believe how much has taken place in just the last 30 days!

First, I just want to thank the Lord Jesus for those of you who have been keeping this ministry going through your prayers and support another month. Well, I've already thanked Him, but I also want to thank you guys as well. You are special. Really!

Now I know that the tsunami is old news by now...or is it? I'm sure most all of you know that one of the signs of the end times described in Matt. 24 mentions earthquakes in divers places. And as much news that we received about this from NBC, ABC, CBS and FOX News and just about , every other mainstream news sources did on this, they didn't really cover just how big this thing really was and none of these news sources even mentioned the domino effect in relation to that 9.0 earthquake. We'll look at this.

We were also misinformed as to the true count of deaths.. I believe the last I heard was around 155,000. But even if that were true, it makes the 9-11 event look pretty small. If you remember, they did not mention the masses of people missing until more recently. In fact, the mainstream media seemed to move quickly toward the amazing stories of a few survivors thus changing the subject.

I believe the mainstream media is governed by our own government and parts of our government is governed by a by the same one who governs this world. The god of this world. Let's not forget that Satan is the god of this world for a while yet. Hopefully, a short while.

If our secular news sources were allowed to bring out the more accurate death tolls, it would be likely that multitudes of people would look at this event in a much more serious way. If you obtain more accurate information from Christian sources with more freedom to speak as on the internet you would learn there were over a half million killed in Africa alone. This too does not count the missing.

If the missing were added to the dead in the nine countries and two continents where this event took place, the people on this planet might better understand just how big this event really was.

Now for the domino effect which was not reported. California received major floods and landslides. Many other areas have been flooded far beyond any capabilities to remedy. Many of these flooded areas, because of the extremely cold conditions that followed have frozen over leaving homes, cars, livestock etc. frozen in ice. And then there's the snowfall. It was reported that Reno, Nevada got nine feet! Meanwhile, here in Colorado, up here in the high country where I live, where it's suppose to snow big time, It became T-shirt weather for many days. And of course you've heard about the east coast where storm after storm has been hitting so hard. Record breaking weather is worldwide. But they just don't seem to be reporting on this are they.

There were a few early reports stating the Earth was put into a wobble. Now I've known we've been in an Earth Wobble for years. It just became worse. Even changing how much daylight time in the day. Scientists who've been studying the Earth wobble say that about every 5000 , years the Earth goes into a polar axis flip. They say the , last time this happened was about 5000 years ago. This just happens to coincide with the time of the flood of Noah. That's why we find Pacific seashells along the 7000 foot level of the Grand Canyon. Here in Colorado too. These seashells have been carbon dated to be about 5000 years old. If it rained today for 40 days and 40 nights the water would not cover the whole Earth. Something else had to have happened during Noah's flood. probably that polar axis flip which may occur again during the tribulation period.

And here's something else not reported. One of our nuclear subs not far from the earthquake crashed into the ocean floor which became an under sea mountain after it rose over 2000 feet! Many injured, one killed. Where's ABC, CBS, NBC or the Fox new on this one?

Now I know many Christians are asking the question: Have we entered into the tribulation yet. Reminds me of kids in the back seat of a car going on vacation. Are we there yet? Are we there yet? actually, no. The tribulation has not yet begun. However, it does appear that we are experiencing the birth pangs just preceding the tribulation period.

A glimmer of hope...

First of all, we are told in Scripture that God hath not appointed us to wrath. (I Thess. 5:9) The tribulation period is God's wrath being poured out on a Christ rejecting world. As these major prophetic events continue to increase, we
have and will continue to see more public teachings within the Church stating that the Church WILL go into the tribulation period and (be subject to God's wrath). Not so due to the afore mentioned Scripture.

Now the following is purely my speculation concerning the timing the our blessed hope, the Rapture of the Church. And I could be wrong here but I know we can always use some hope in these last days.

For so long, much of the Church has been looking at the hope of the rapture in connection to Israel becoming a nation. Many looked at the 40 year generation as mentioned in the Old Testament as the children of Israel were lost in the wilderness for 40 years also referred to as (A GENERATION). That 40 years has come and gone. Israel became a nation on May 14th, 1948. Many also looked at the completion of the year 2000. This too has come and gone. But what about this? What about Jerusalem? That cup of trembling as mentioned in Scripture? Israel regained Jerusalem in 1967. Going by the afore mentioned Scripture of a 40 year generation, this would bring us to the year 2007. Again, I'm not setting a date. This is only speculation. And ya know what? Its okay to do that. Meanwhile, let's bring as' many people to the Lord as possible. Time is short...

Is Mormonism Moving Toward a Protestant View of Grace and Works? Seventy Calls Such a Notion a "Misconception."
By Bill McKeever

In recent years some Christians have insisted that the Mormon Church has been slowly abandoning its heretical roots and coming closer to embracing a more biblical soteriology. While we would like nothing more than to see this actually happen, we have been reluctant to engage in similar optimism. A speech given by Seventy Bruce Hafen in General Conference in April 2004 confirms our doubts.

In his talk titled "The Atonement: All for All," Hafen made it very clear to his listeners that the LDS Church is not moving towards a Protestant view of grace and works. Hafen commented on how "some of our friends can't see how our Atonement beliefs relate to our beliefs about becoming more like our Heavenly Father." He went on to say, "Others mistakenly think our Church is moving toward an understanding of the relationship between grace and works that draws on Protestant teachings." Such "misconceptions," he said, prompted him to address this topic in his conference message (Ensign magazine, May 2004, p.97).

Hafen insisted that it was not enough simply to believe in Christ. Using the story of the Pearl of Great Price as his proof text, he insisted that for Mormons to qualify for "such exquisite treasure," they must "give the way Christ gave -- every drop He had." While such language sounds pious, the fact of the matter is I don't know too many people who "give every drop" on a consistent basis like Christ did.

He continued by stating, "If we must give all that we have, then our giving almost everything is not enough. If we almost keep the commandments, we almost receive the blessings." (p.98, emphasis his)

If Hafen were discussing personal sanctification, I wouldn't protest so much. However, to insist that personal effort and the ability to keep commandments are the necessary requirement for eternal life is anathema to the biblical message of grace. I personally found Hafen's talk intriguing and couldn't but wonder if Hafen's speech was meant to clarify the LDS Church's position in light of many comments made by popular BYU professor Robert Millet, Dr. Millet has written numerous books on the subject of grace from his personal perspective. Though I am not yet convinced that he has grasped the biblical message of grace, Millet has often made comments that contradict LDS leaders on this subject.

Was Hafen offering a public rebuke? Was he engaging in damage control? I have no doubt that many members of the LDS Church have been confused by what appears to be mixed signals when it comes to obtaining salvation.

Hafen also used his talk to criticize the Christian view of the fall of man. He insisted that for centuries, Christianity has been wrong in its belief that "Adam and Eve's fall was a tragic mistake, which led to the belief that humankind as an inherently evil nature." The fall, he said, "was not a disaster."

First of all, I object to Hafen's stereotype that all Christians believe the fall was "a mistake or an accident." Certainly it was a mistake on the part of Adam to sin against God's decree, but I do not believe for a moment that the fall took God by surprise or that it was not in His divine plan. Hafen's comment on man's nature is not out of step with what has been taught by LDS leaders of the past. On March 23 1862 Brigham Young said, "Many of us have been taught the doctrine of total depravity - that man is not naturally Inclined to do good. I am satisfied that he Is more inclined to do right than to do wrong. There is a greater power within him to shun evil and perform good, than to do the opposite" (Discourses of Brigham Young, p.l8).

Young's position seems to conflict with the Book of Mormon when it says, "Therefore, as the soul could never die and the fall had brought upon all mankind a spiritual death as well as a temporal, that Is, they were cut off from the presence of the Lord, It was expedient that mankind should be reclaimed from this spiritual death. Therefore, as they had become carnal, sensual, and devilish, by nature, this probationary state became a state for them to prepare, it became a preparatory state" (Alma 42:9,10, .emphasis mine).

The Valentine's Day Ambush

There are, in vague Christian tradition, at least two martyrs named Valentine (although some students of such matters theorize that there may have been several traditions formed about only one man). At any rate, the "St. Valentine" we now speak of as the patron saint of lovers was probably several different men, blended into one image. About him (them?) we know practically nothing; but this much we do know: he (they) had nothing to do with the popular observances we know today as Valentine's Day.

On February 14th. 1929, in an automotive garage on Clark Street in Chicago, a number of men were murdered in a gangland takeover. This mass murder by mobsters in police uniforms has since been known as the "SL Valentine's Day Massacre." like all such brutal acts, this was sudden, violent and lasted only a minute or two. In a similar invasion of territory, the enemy of our souls (or somebody cunning!) has moved into the life of the Church, seizing the time resources and allegiance of Christians. But in this case it wasn't so violent; it was much more subtle. And it wasn't the work of minutes, it took place over a period of many centuries. It wasn't a straightforward assault, with the brutal directness of submachine guns; it was more of a quiet ambush, followed by infiltration, and a subtle one at that. Here are the results, and some of their origins.

The Date for Valentine's Day. The date February 14th comes down to us from the Roman fertility rites (Lupercalia), always conducted in mid-February, and from the belief in medieval Europe that birds mated on February 14th. This really is where we got the date.

The Establishment of Cupid as the Spirit and Symbol. Cupid was the pagan sex and fertility god of Rome; his counterpart in the Greek pantheon was Eros, the god of lust. That's right. ... I said "Eros." Cupid. this plump little winged cherub. fired supernatural arrows of passion into people's hearts, producing uncontrollable lust and desire. This whole concept has come down to us directly from Roman and Greek paganism, so Cupid came in the package, simply the Roman version of the god of lust the Greeks called "Eros."

It is interesting that his name is merely the personification of the Latin word (cupido) for desire. It may also interest you to know that the English work for inordinate desire, selfish lust or greed is "cupidity," Same origin. Check it out and think on it.

The Sending of Greeting Cards. The exact origin of this custom is uncertain, but it arose in the late Middle Ages with the sending. of love notes and related proposals on February 14th, the date being I chosen because of the belief that birds mated on that day. The sending of Valentine cards as we now them arose as a popular custom in this country about 100 years ago with the establishment of generalized mail service.

To Sum It All Up. All things considered, the origins and meaning of Valentine's Day observances may be summed up in this way, every aspect of it (with the possible exception of the name, which may be the name of two or more Christian martyrs) is pagan. In the words of the editors of the encyclopedia Britannica, "St. Valentine's Day as a lovers" festival, the choice of a Valentine and the modern development of sending valentine cards has no relation to (the martyr) or to any incident in his life. These customs seem rather to be connected either with the pagan Roman festival of Lupercalia which took place in the middle of February, or with (traditions of) the Spring season in general."

So What Do We Do? Exactly what you do about Valentine's Day activities is, like all othr such matters, between you and the Lord. But I do urge you to remember that that loveable, mischievous, chubby little winged Cupid is a pagan god, nothing more or less; and to have "the images of their gods" in our homes, hanging on our bodies in necklaces, bracelets etc. is to offend our holy God, and to open ourselves to trouble, hindrance and bondage (DeuL 7:25. 26; et al).

If you want to be free, if you want to live free, don't touch the unclean thing.

Quotes on Public vs. Private Correction of Error

"Some think that if one Christian differs with the writings or public statements of another [professing] Christian on a point of doctrine, without rancor or any problem between them as persons, he is wrong for stating the differences publicly before going privately to the 'brother' with whom he disagrees. That is a misconception. First of all, there is no un-reconciled condition between them; they simply differ. Secondly, therefore, there is no matter of church discipline involved. Thirdly, even if this were a matter of discipline, the first party wrote or spoke publicly -- he put it before the church or the world; he did not speak privately. For that reason it is as appropriate for the second to write or speak as publicly as the first did in refuting what he thinks is a wrong interpretation of the Scriptures and which, therefore, he believes may hurt the church if he doesn't (Handbook of Church Discipline, pp. 34-35)

... many church leaders, though well intentioned, are feeding ...deadly poison to the Body of Christ. ... [Religious] leaders should be held accountable for what they say in books, magazines and pulpit, or on radio or television. Certainly no one can object if what he has stated publicly is quoted or questioned publicly. If any church leader is granted immunity from challenge or correction, then [the spirit of] the Reformation was in vain and we are back under the unscriptural authorization of a Protestant popery. If [ their] teachings are valid and Biblical, then [they] have nothing to fear from a factual and Scriptural analysis ...and if [their] precepts are in fact false and dangerous, then lovers of God and truth will be grateful when error is exposed"

False doctrine is not the subject of Matthew 18, but something else entirely and, therefore, does not come under the instructions Christ gives in that passage. False doctrine is never a private matter and is always to be dealt with publicly. In fact, much of the New Testament was written to publicly correct false teaching ...Paul withstood Peter to his face publicly for his false .interpretation of the law that caused him not to associate with Gentile believers (Gal. 2: 11-14). In a day I of mass media, particularly when denied access to so-called 'Christian' television and radio, the only method of public correction of false teaching is to write books and to speak publicly, in order to call the attention of the Body to errors that affect the whole Body.

Furthermore, what teachers say in books and on television, etc. is part of a public domain, subject to review, analysis, and critique of any kind. Anyone who makes public declarations intended to influence large audiences through books, radio, television, etc. ought to know that he is responsible for what he says, and will be held accountable. No one need ask anyone for permission to critique anything that has been espoused in a public forum. It is not necessary to first talk with a writer or speaker in order to be accurate and fair in critiquing him ...If members of the Body have erred, then if we love them, we will correct them.

HELP WANTED... Prayers for the help really..

Before I had suffered from congested heart failure a while back I was doing everything myself. I preferred things this way. Knew everything was getting done right for the most part. But after my heart problems, I was humbled and
realized I couldn't do everything myself. So I finally broke down and hired a girl Friday to help me catch up on things. Her name was Mia and she was a big help.

Then one day at home, Mia's back went out. She couldn't come in here or to her other job as well. I was back to doing everything myself again but things got behind. She was especially helpful in computer stuff. I suppose you could say I'm computer challenged.

So finally I put an ad in the paper and hired another. Her name was Jane. An older lady. The first day, she was a half hour late. I thought she might have had a hard time finding the place so I blew it off. The second time she was to come in, she didn't. Turns out she had a fall and had to be taken to the hospital.

So next a hired a lady named Susan. She assured me she was dependable. Then it snowed a couple inches and she called me saying she couldn't make it in and told me it might be best if I hired someone else more dependable. Next was Nancy but she found another job at $3.00 per hour and took it! So next, I hired a girl named Tiffany, same name as my daughter's. Now Tiffany knew all the computer stuff well. But a strange thing happened. On the same day I hired her, her fiancé was fired from his job at the Cripple Creek mines so they immediately had to move to Wyoming where he had another job waiting. Next came Dori. She too knew the computer stuff and it looked like she might work out just fine. She was scheduled to come in three days later. She never showed up or called. Keep in mind, these were all about 3-4 days apart. Can you see the pattern here?

I believe the enemy is at work here. Now I really do appreciate your prayers. Our Lord answers prayers. This is why I ask for prayers at the end of each broadcast. Sounds unprofessional on the air but so what! I have seen the enemy trying to take me out for a long time now. Being the last ex-Mormon in the world with a daily radio broadcast exposing the deceptions of the cults etc. is not an easy thing to do. There really is a major spiritual warfare going on. But there really hasn't been any prayers for anyone who might be a helper here. Therefore, I would ask that you might pray accordingly for anyone who might be working for me here as a personal assistant in this ministry.

Now at the time of this writing, I'm planning to hire another girl. Her name is Bryna. But as you've seen the pattern here, who knows if she'll still be here by the time you get this so you might just pray a generic prayer for whoever might be working for me at the time. God doesn't need names. He knows. Thanks so much!

VHS, VCR, CD, DVD, C-92, C-62, MP3, BURNING CDS & DVDS AND SO MUCH MORE!

What kind of a world are we living in? The technology has become so extreme that its leaving this old country boy far behind.

I remember when there were these things called records. You put them on the record player and listened to them. Records came in 3 speeds. 78, 45, and 33 revolutions per minute. Then came the audio cassette tape. Shortly after that, came the 8 track player. Somewhere in there were bell-bottom pants.

Well, the record player is pretty much gone. So is the 8 track player and the bell bottom pants. Audio cassette tapes are still around but are quickly being taken over by CDS. VHS (video tapes) are also still around but are also being replaced by DVDS. Many radio stations no longer except audio cassette tapes but only CDS or programs sent via the internet. Most people no longer have VCRS, but DVD players. It looks like if this ministry is to continue on, I'm going to have to make this major transition into that which is being used today. Primarily, audio cassette tapes to CDS and VHS (video tapes) to DVDS. Now I plan to keep the audio tapes available until they're just not used any more. Same as with the VHS (video tapes) But as fast as things are moving today, it looks like I'm going to have to make both formats available very soon. I've checked into this and learned its not going to be easy. The room to put everything, as well as the costs. Now I might be able to find the room for all this new stuff needed for the ministry if I reorganize everything in my entire cabin. But the cost is going to be in the area of around $2500.00 to $2700.00. Ouch! Now there are those of you who have been regular supporters in this ministry. And there are those of you who are not. But there's no way I would ask any of you to send money to help me make this transition into what is now needed to keep up with the times. I don't believe in that. All I ask is that you take the time to pray that these needs be met. I'd really appreciate it. Thank you ever so much!

Sun of righteousness?

In Malachi 4:2 we read, "But unto you that fear my name shall the (Sun) of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall."

Have you ever run across this and wondered I why this word was spelled (Sun) rather than (Son)? Obviously, this is speaking of the Son of God. It's even capitalized. Was this misspelled? And why would the (Sun) be referred to as righteous? How can that be? The Sun is a type of the Christ. The Moon is a type of the Church.
Christ Jesus is to return from the East. The Sun rises in the East.
The Moon is mentioned as feminine. "shall not cause (her) right to shine". (Isaiah 13: 10)
The Church is also referred to as feminine. (The Bride of Christ)
The moon, has no light of herself. Only that which she reflects from the Sun. Sometimes, She reflects much light.
Sometimes very little.
The determining factor as to how much light is reflected from the Sun and onto the Moon is in direct relationship as to how much of the World has gotten in the way.
Lets not let the world get in our way.

ENDING NOTE...

I really do want you guys to know how much you are appreciated. Your prayers and support mean so much to me in what I believe to be a very late hour. I'm sure you're familiar with the Scripture in Matt. 26:41 speaking of "the spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak." There's so much more I want to do but at the same time, it seems I have so little physical energy. I would really appreciate you're prayers in this matter. Meanwhile, remember, I'm not one of these untouchables out there. You can call me if you have questions on the best way to get a particular cult member saved or whatever. Also, if you find something on the resource list you can use, I'd like to make it available for a gift of any amount this month.

Yours because His:
Jim
